Hon. Robert Oliphant

Member of Parliament, Don Valley West

"Since she was elected in 2024, Rachel has been engaged with residents from all parts of Don Valley West. When constituents in Lawrence Park and Leaside raised serious concerns about car thefts and home break-ins, Rachel was quick to organize virtual community meetings, inviting me and Stephanie Bowman, MPP, along with several members of the Toronto Police Service. Rachel has expanded the green spaces in the ward, adding two new parks. She has also responded to concerns about traffic congestion in the ward by advancing traffic calming measures. Under Rachel’s leadership, the Interfaith and Community Action Group is working hard to address the disturbing rise of antisemitism and increased polarization in our community. I look forward to working with Rachel as the re-elected City Councillor for Ward 15, Don Valley West."

"Since her election in 2024, Rachel has been a dedicated advocate for her constituents and a strong collaborator with all levels of government. She brings a positive, practical approach to City Council and is focused on getting results for her community.

Rachel has also been an important voice against the rise of antisemitism and hate in Toronto, standing up for the safety of our Jewish community and for the values we share. I am pleased to support Rachel and her continued leadership on City Council."

Jennifer McKelvie

"I'm delighted to endorse Rachel for City Council. I first worked with Rachel when she was a Trustee, on issues including safety, mental health and youth violence, and then continued working with her on council following the by-election.

Rachel is a collaborative and strong leader. She brings sound judgement and an ethical approach to her work, making her an asset to her constituents and a valued colleague who works effectively with staff and stakeholders alike to get things done. I strongly support her continued leadership at City Hall."

Maggie Chi

Member of Parliament, Don Valley North

"I’ve had the opportunity to work with Rachel and see how much she cares about the people she represents. Through her Interfaith and Community Action group, I’ve joined faith and community leaders in conversations about how we can stand together against antisemitism and hate, and make our neighbourhoods safer and more welcoming.

Rachel brings people together, takes the time to listen, and follows through on the issues that matter to her community. She understands how much we can accomplish when we work together, and I’ve valued having her as a partner on the issues that matter to our communities. I’m proud to endorse Rachel Chernos Lin for re-election as Councillor for Don Valley West."

Stephanie Smyth

"I’m proud to endorse Rachel Chernos Lin for City Councillor in Don Valley West. Rachel is the kind of leader who doesn’t wait for someone else to fix a problem. She listens to her community, speaks up when it matters, and gets to work. I’ve seen that leadership in action, including her strong advocacy against antisemitism and hate. Don Valley West needs a councillor who will stand up for the community and fight for it at City Hall. That’s Rachel."

Vanessa Rose

Leaside Resident, Community Leader

"As a former Senior Staffer to three former Don Valley West councillors, and a committed community worker and volunteer, I knew Rachel had the “right stuff” to successfully represent us in Ward 15. My confidence was justified. She gets results. She has proven to be an effective leader. Her previous experience as a School Trustee and Chair of the TDSB set the tone for her to get results from the get-go.

She's visible, she's approachable, she listens, she's respected by her colleagues, she acts on the issues that relate to improving the lived experience of the residents of Ward 15 as well as the entire city. She understands the benefit of working together, she has hired a brilliant team to work with her. She has my vote to continue to represent us in Ward 15."

Robin Dickie

Leaside Resident

"I’ve known Rachel Chernos Lin for over 10 years. We met as concerned parents involved in our neighbouring schools - we headed our home and school associations. Rachel is a trailblazer, hugely energetic, resourceful and unfailingly optimistic. She serves our ward as Councillor with energy, intelligence, integrity and common sense. I fully endorse Rachel as City Councillor for Ward 15."

Julie Dasoo

Community Leader

"Since being elected, Rachel has been an active and present voice for our community - meeting with residents, holding landlords accountable, coordinating safety meetings, advocating and securing more resources for Thorncliffe Park, working with local community agencies, and bringing local community concerns directly to City Hall. I strongly endorse Rachel’s continued mandate at City Hall and appreciate her ongoing commitment to our community."

Rick Galbraith

York Mills Resident

"I’m proud to call this neighbourhood home, and I know how much our community means to Rachel. Rachel genuinely cares about the people who live here, listens to residents and, when something needs to be addressed, she takes action. That’s the kind of representative I want working for our community at City Hall!"

Jim Booth

York Mills Resident

"Rachel and her team were helpful and actively involved in getting speed humps approved to control traffic and improve safety on Old York Mills Road. Rachel’s accessibility and effort through her numerous meet-and-greets are both very informative and demonstrate her commitment to residents. I truly believe she has the best interests of the community at heart. I endorse her continued advocacy and leadership at City Hall for the next four years!"
